BCB002S Smart Devices for the real #EDGE

#BCB002S is a Key component of #BCB. They are low power consumption devices able to detect relevant events such as #Jaguar Figures, among others; to do so, #AI and other techniques are in place. They have several sensors on them, including six microphones, a camera, #GPS, motion and distance sensors and #LoRa radios.

One of its most important features is its reactive and context sensitive behavior (#DNNA or Distribute Neural Network Architecture is responsible for that).

The term context sensitive means that #BCB002S devices can change their strategies and levels of attention depending on their GPS coordinates or the messages received from the BCB Regional Core.

The current version of the BCB002S concept models are being developed around the #Sony #Spresense board. This development board is an enabler for this kind of devices and one of the key features to make them reactive is the #RTOS that is running inside the board, the #NuttX. The fact that the Spresense has six cores and the NuttX means that BCB002S is able to handle several things at the same time with no conflicts.

See it in action, in this case, reacting to the presence of a Toy Jaguar near them!

At the present, they are reacting to Real Jaguars, see the news.

This demo was displayed at the IoT Tech Expo North America - Santa Clara on Nov. 12th and 13th. If you are interested in creating this type of devices click here.
